HADOS – The high-performance filling system for liquids “Made in Germany
The dosing and filling system “HADOS” is an alternative to the well-known classical dosing systems and has been developed especially for the needs of small and medium sized companies, for manual dosing and automatic filling of liquids into different bottles/boxes.
It consists of the metering pumps:
- KD-30 dosing pumps with an output of 15 or 30 litres / minute
- and the optional accessories:
- ETV 1.0 and ETB 1.0 contact device or
- single-closing belt ETV 1.0 and ETB 1.0
The devices and accessories are manufactured from high quality and commercially available components, mainly produced in Germany or the EU.
The heart of the units is a high-grade stainless steel pump that has been tried and tested for years.
Particular advantages of the HADOS system are:
Versatile employability: as manual or semi-automatic dosing device and as a powerful pump.
Robust, sturdy design: which means high value retention and mechanical durability.
Simple operation: The operation is innovative and is also quickly mastered by auxiliary staff.
Intelligent dosing process: an already initiated dosing operation stops automatically when the container is removed during the filling operation. It is completed when the container is available again.
Modular construction: later expansion or integration into an automatic line possible at any time.
Easy to clean: even in the operating mode “pump”, the device can be cleaned well in most cases.
Ready availability and reliability:
- quick spare parts delivery,
- Services can be carried out by local tradesman at a reasonable price,
- Replacement unit on request.
Selection criteria and requirements for the use of a dosing pump:
Preliminary remark:
The economic advantage of the dosing pumps is the possibility to carry out both small and considerably larger filling quantities with the same device, without any conversions. In addition, a metering pump is excellently suited for integration into automatic systems.
Both advantages are the guarantee for universal and economical use of the KD-30.
Special requirements:
Liquids to be dosed must be thin to slightly viscous or just self-fluxing Viscous liquids such as creams or gels require additional technical equipment such as a lid drum with clamping ring or bunghole drum.
The dosing system must not be used for filling so-called hazardous liquids:
This means no strong acids, alkalis, etc. Furthermore, the properties of the products must not at present require an Ex-version of the dosing system. In case of uncertainty, please contact us.
The liquids to be dosed must be precisely known before placing the order.
If the liquids do not belong to the same or similar product group, different seals, hoses or dosing nozzles may be necessary. In addition, manufacturers of cosmetics in particular, may have special requirements for easy disassembly, polished stainless steel surfaces and pipe connections with few gaps.
The permissible dosing tolerances must be known before placing the order.
Depending on the pump type, the tolerances are between +/- 0.5 and 2 percent for the smallest quantity to be metered. If a customer wishes to have a weigh feeder, they must usually provide the weigh feeder or make it available prior to delivery of the weigh feeder. NB: If possible, calibration and warranty should be carried out by the customer.
The properties and temperature of the products to be dosed must be known.
Inexpensive impeller pumps should only be used for larger containers (at least 50ml, preferably at least 100ml) and temperatures below 80 degrees Celsius. For organic milk and white organic yoghurt, impeller pumps should only be used upon consultation.
The issue of cleaning has to be considered from the beginning (CIP, product losses, etc.). If possible, the customer should provide existing cleaning instructions. This is especially important for cosmetics manufacturers.
The interface between the KD-30 product hose and the customer’s product container is important.
For an IBC container (e.g. a DN50) a milk pipe cone is located at the hose beginning of the KD-30. In this case we need to know exactly which adaptor is needed at the beginning of the hose.
The environmental conditions of the installation site must be known. (E.g. temperature, humidity). In Winter, the area should be closed-in and heated.
The bottles or containers to be filled must be known before placing the order.
A minimum of 1 sample per type is required when placing an order.
The containers to be filled must not be designer bottles with very slender necks.
Such bottles with the same filling quantity will later have visible differences in filling height in the bottleneck. If these bottles are to have the same filling level, however, the filling quantities would have to differ considerably. Such bottles can only be filled with a classic vacuum dosing system.
The following is a brief list of the various possible types of execution:
KD-30 Universal with impeller pump:
- low viscosity liquids, also with solids – components of all kinds (pack 50ml-10 litres).
- Size of the solids limited – consultation.
KD-30 Universal with gear pump:
- Low to high viscosity liquids, without solids – Ingredients (pack of 10ml-1 litre).
KD-30 Universal with rotary lobe pump:
- Highly viscous liquids, also with solids – Components of all kinds (pack >250ml).
- Size of the solids limited – consultation required.
KD-30 Universal with Teflon impeller pump:
- Low-viscosity, aggressive and highly saline liquids (pack 50ml-10 litres).
KD-30 HSE Universal with gear pump or rotary piston pump:
- Electric lifting/lowering nozzle for low to high viscous liquids for low or high viscous liquids.
- Mirror filling (pack > 50ml).
KD-30 HSP with impeller or gear pump:
- Pneumatic lifting/lowering nozzle for low-viscosity liquids only for under mirror filling (Container > 100ml)
